Membership of the Club shall be open to anyone interested in Coarse Angling upon application regardless of, sex, disability, ethnicity, nationality, sexual orientation, religion or other beliefs.
However, limitation of membership according to available facilities is allowable on a non-discriminatory basis.
The Club may have different classes of membership as the committee shall from time to time decide.
At the date of the adoption of this constitution the classes of membership are:-
Sixteeen years old – state retirement age.
Senior Citizen Member.
State retirement age onwards.
Twelve - Fifteen years old (inclusive).
Non-fishing member. Generally used by people who need, or wish to accompany an actively fishing member. Carers are only permitted on the clubs waters when in the company of the full member with whom their permit is associated (i.e. the carer or partner etc of the person actually fishing). Carers have no rights to vote or speak at the clubs meetings.
Persons who are awarded honorary membership are not required to pay subscription fees. However they must carry a valid up to date membership card to fish The Clubs water. They are also exempt from having to attend meetings and from working parties It is though, hoped, that honorary members will still take an active part in the club.
Honorary membership will be based on a senior member reaching the state retirement age or over and having being in continuous membership for a minimum of fifteen consecutive years, at which point he or she will then be eligible to apply for Honorary Membership and must be able to provide evidence of fifteen years continual membership if so required.
Honorary Membership can also be granted to any member at the discretion of the Committee.
Membership will run from 1st April 31st March.
Existing members must renew their membership at any of the three March joining meetings. (There is no general meeting in March). These meetings will be on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Wednesdays of the month at The Clubs headquarters, commencing at 20:30 hrs. Members must bring their existing membership card when re-joining. Members attempting to renew membership after the March meetings must re-pay the joining fee.
New members must be proposed and seconded by two existing members.
Please bring 2 passport sized photographs when joining.
